The best way for a young collector to avoid counterfeit, or “fake,” coins is to arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible. One of the first steps to developing this knowledge is to read about and study photos of coins.
One coin in each of the groups below is fake. Look at the pictures, read the tips, then determine which coin is fake.
