Come noon EST on June 14, collectors will be able to get their hands on the U.S. Mint’s latest America the Beautiful silver offering: the 5-ounce uncirculated coin honoring Minnesota’s Voyageurs National Park.
The coin, made of .999 fine silver and measuring three inches in diameter, is the third of its kind to be released this year.
The reverse of the Voyageurs coin, produced at the Philadelphia Mint, depicts a common loon with a rock cliff in the background. Inscriptions are “VOYAGEURS,” “MINNESOTA,” “2018,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
The maximum mintage for the Voyageurs 5-ounce silver unc. coin is set at 20,000.
Each encapsulated, legal tender coin comes packaged in a presentation case with a Certificate of Authenticity. The Mint has priced this coin at $154.95.
